Addidi Holdings Limited (Addidi) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy, as a common courtesy as much as a legal obligation. This policy (together with our terms and conditions and any other documents referred to in it) tells you how any personal information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed. Your rights in relation to your information

Under new EU requirements you have a number of specific rights, these are summarised below:

Access – You may ask for a copy of the information Addidi hold about you and we will provide this within one month of receipt free of charge (we may charge a fee for subsequent or duplicate requests).

Rectification – You may ask us to correct any information that we hold that is inaccurate or incomplete.

Erasure – You may ask us to delete or cease processing data in certain situations. Please note that we will have regulatory obligations to retain information for certain time periods and we will retain such information as we believe is necessary to fulfil these obligations.

Restrict processing – You may ask us to cease processing information. This means that we will be able to retain it but no longer act upon it. In the event that you no longer need our services and terminate them we will automatically cease processing information.

Portability – You may have the right to have your data transferred to another service provider in an appropriate electronic format. Please note that we will have regulatory obligations to retain copies of the information as outlined previously.

Objection – You may have the right to object to us processing information or using it for marketing purposes.

Access to the website

Only Addidi clients are able to access all areas of the website, as you might expect. Visitors can access the public part of the website. If you wish to become a client, you can complete an online request form or you can call us up to ask about becoming one.

We reserve the right to refuse membership at out sole discretion.

What information does Addidi collect

Addidi collects personal data from visitors to the website and from those who register their information for membership subscription or marketing material. Addidi also uses cookies and tracks IP addresses and information regarding what pages are accessed and when. Don’t worry, we’re not spying on you – this is merely so we can improve our services and enhance your Addidi experience.

How Addidi uses information you provide

Visitors who choose to register with our website may receive, via electronic communication, announcements of new services, new content and Addidi events. We will use your information to provide information to investment providers or life assurance firms for the purposes of arranging products and services for you. Provide our ongoing service to you. Meet our regulatory obligations in the services we provide to you.

There may be situations where the information we require is a special category of personal data under the legislation. In this case we will explain why we need it and obtain your consent to obtain the data. This situation most commonly occurs where we are arranging life assurance products and need to obtain medical information from you.

At any time, of course, you can choose to unsubscribe from Addidi – if that’s the case, we won’t trouble you again.

How long is information retained?

We are required by legislation and the Financial Conduct Authority rules to retain records for specified periods. These vary dependent upon the nature of the service provided.

Does Addidi share your information with others?

Addidi does not sell, rent or disclose our clients’ names, addresses, email addresses or other personal information to any non-Addidi entity. However, in order to maintain our website and provide membership services and electronic communication, we do employ selected third parties. As necessary, your personal information may be processed by these third parties – but again, there’s nothing to worry about. This is solely for the purpose of providing services to our clients or assisting Addidi in these endeavours, and it’s subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations.

We do not otherwise disclose your information to third parties, unless we’re required to do so by law or in connection with a legal claim or proceeding.

If Addidi is acquired by another entity, information about Addidi clients may be made available to the new entity. However, the new entity will agree to protect the confidentiality of your personal information consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Security

Addidi values its clients’ privacy as a priority – we use appropriate security measures to protect the information you give us. However, while we do as much as we can to protect your personal information, clients must accept that no Internet data transmission can be guaranteed secure from access by unintended recipients, and we can’t be held responsible for any breach of security unless it’s due to our negligence.

About cookies

Cookies are pieces of information a website can send to your computer’s browser for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies to ascertain which web pages are visited and how often, but this is only so we can make the website more user-friendly, and to give you a better experience when you return to it.
